Patrick E. Guevara primarily practices intellectual property, cyberspace, and immigration law.
He provides advice and counsel, resolves disputes, and if necessary, enforces his clients' intellectual property rights in federal courts.
Mr. Guevara has prosecuted over 250 trademark registrations before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and regularly provides his clients advice and counsel on the development, use, and protection of trade names, trademarks, and copyrights.
Mr. Guevara has litigated copyright infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, and patent infringement actions. He has successfully brought cancellation proceedings in the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board to invalidate trademark registrations that infringed upon his clients' trademarks. He also has handled numerous domain name disputes that resulted in the transfer of infringing names to clients.
In addition to his intellectual property practice, Mr. Guevara uses his business background and knowledge of digital technology to draft licensing, distribution and supplier agreements, web development agreements, website terms of use, privacy policies, as well as advise clients on legal issues involving online commerce and search engine advertising.
